im 16 and ive had it for about a week now. ive been using hydrocortizone cream and that hasnt seemed to help.I have jock itch and am seeking advice?
jock itch is called by a fungus!!! it is called tinea cruris. you're going to need an ANTIFUNGAL not hydrocortisone, which is an antiinflammatory steroid. SO, you need to change meds, you can buy it OTC at the drug store and look specifically for an antifungal for jock itch. it's the only way to rid it. and dont scratch it, you will make it WORSEI have jock itch and am seeking advice?
Hydrocortizone is a little harsh for that sensitive area and may increase the irritation, I'd suggest something gentler.
To help with the itch make sure you wash thoroughly behind your foreskin and change your shorts every day.
If it doesn't clear up in another week see your doctor. If you've recently had unprotected sex, see your doctor immediately.
